the canine contenders...

ohope doggie dash Nulla Corporaal

Meet Nulla Corporaal. Don't be fooled, she may be resting here with her whanau but check out where she is! On the top of Mount Tawhiau on a training run and she has just dragged her Mum the top! And of us both, her Mum Annette says she would be the weakest link in this Doggie Dash!

[sorry Annette - drafting is not allowed]

Bella

Bella
Bella has been training in her front yard all spring. Her specialty is herding visitors, small children, cars... in fact almost anything can can possibly be moved has the potential to be herded. She comes with the distinct advantage of having trained on the Ohope Doggie Dash course and will prove a force to be reckoned with. Her major weakness is her inability to run in a straight line.

Don't be fooled. These lean and mean athletes have only two speeds: flat-out sprint and sleep. It's a toss-up as to which dog turns up on race-day, the racer or the sleeper. If it's the racer, the rest of the field had better watch out.

If you have canine athletes you'd like included on this page, please email me a photo and story of your dog and I'll post them on here. Thanks! Paul Charteris pcharteris@gmail.com
